The Backups/Security tab lets you configure automatic backups as well as lock the UI with a password.
Autosave
If checked, Keeping Time will save the project automatically after the given number of minutes if there are changes.
Automatic Backups
Keeping Time can make automatic backups at specific times. Backups will only be made if there are changes compared to the previous version.
You can configure the backup location, as well as the number of backups that should be kept before older versions are overwritten.
Back up project when closing
If this is checked, a backup will be made whenever a project is closed.
Back up project when saving
If this is checked, a backup will be made whenever a project is saved. Note that if you're a Ctrl-S spammer like yours truly, you should use a higher number of backups to still have meaningful differences between saved versions.
Number of backups to keep
Here you can set the number of backups to keep. This setting applies per project, so if you set it to 5, Keeping Time will keep up to 5 backups for every project.
Backup Location
You can choose to either back up files to the location of the project, or to a dedicated backup folder anywhere you like,
Just pick whichever you prefer and make sure to select a valid folder if you choose the backup folder option.
Lock UI with Password
When checked, Keeping Time will show a button to hide all windows in the Welcome Center and Project Window.
Enter a password here that will be used to show all open windows again.
